Privacy Policy
Author Creator is run by Trillion Dollar Industries LLC (“we” or “us”). Your book is your work. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@authorcreator.app.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, your email address, and your password. We store the password only in scrambled (hashed) form, so we cannot read it.
- What you write: your answers, stories, Book Blueprint, chapters, manuscript, ideas, Author Voice, coaching conversations, and content you create.
- Voice recordings: recordings are kept on your own device. When you ask us to turn one into text, the audio is sent to our speech-to-text provider for that one job. We save the text, not the audio.
- Plan and usage: which plan you are on and how many coaching requests, content pieces, and transcription minutes you have used, so we can apply your plan limits.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to us. We receive a customer reference and whether a payment or subscription is active.
- Basic technical records: like any website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived logs such as IP addresses and error reports, used to keep the service working and secure.
How we use it
- To run your account and save your work.
- To answer your coaching requests and create the content you ask for.
- To send account emails, such as confirming your email address and resetting your password.
- If you said yes, to send occasional writing tips and news. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and you can switch them off in Profile.
- To bill paid plans and apply plan limits.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
We do not sell your information. We do not show ads. We do not use your writing to train our own AI models, and we do not publish or share your book.
The AI behind the coaching
When you ask for coaching, the parts of your book needed to answer (for example your answers, Blueprint, and the chapter you are working on) are sent to an AI provider to produce a reply. Today that is Anthropic (Claude) for writing help and OpenAI for speech-to-text. These providers process the text to answer your request under their business terms, which do not allow them to use it to train their models by default.
Who helps us run Author Creator
- Railway: hosts the app and its database.
- Anthropic and OpenAI: AI writing help and speech-to-text.
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
- Resend: account emails.
They only get what they need to do their part. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.
Cookies
We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and writing while your account is open. You can delete any book at any time, and it is removed along with its chapters. To close your account and delete everything, email us at hello@authorcreator.app from the address on your account and we will do it within 30 days. Payment records may be kept longer where tax law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change your writing in the app, change your password in Profile, and ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law. Email us and we will help.
Keeping it safe
Your connection is encrypted, passwords are hashed, and each account can only reach its own books. No system is perfect, so use a strong password you do not use elsewhere. If we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.
Age
Author Creator is for adults. You must be at least 18 to create an account.
Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
